Participating shopping malls hosted a variety of entertaining activities that were enjoyed by all family members and provided them with a unique shopping experience throughout the duration of ‘Shop Bahrain’.
Al Aali Shopping Complex hosted the largest outdoor ice-rink in the GCC offering visitors an opportunity to enjoy a month-long of ice-skating, shopping and entertainment at the ‘VIVA Winter Wonderland’ during the fourth edition of ‘Shop Bahrain’.
Bab Al Bahrain Mall hosted a ‘Traditional Gaming Tournament’ that included Domino, Damah and Keram and was held under the supervision of experts in the field. During the activity, the participants and audience had the chance to enjoy the traditional live performances in a festive atmosphere that showcased the Kingdom’s long-standing heritage.
City Centre Bahrain visitors enjoyed the two walkabout performances that were held at the mall during the Festival. ‘Jean Debuffet’ entertained the audience through the creative mixed art and dance performance on the first weekend, while the colourful ‘Sweets for Kids’ performance mesmerized the kids who also had the opportunity to greet the sweet characters during the third weekend of the Festival.
Dragon City visitors enjoyed the stretched and shrunken self-reflections as they diverted between corridors trying to find their way out of the mirror maze.
El Mercado visitors enjoyed a game of the life-sized version of ‘Connect Four’ during ‘Shop Bahrain’. They had the opportunity to challenge their friends in the two-player game where they took turns in dropping the coloured discs from the top into a seven-column, six-row vertically suspended grid.
The ‘Candy Land’ hosted at Enma Mall featured a magnificent display of eye catching giant lollipops, twist candies, cotton candy, ginger houses and more. Shoppers who spent BD 10 and above at the Mall had the opportunity to share their children’s love for chocolate and candy with stations that included “Little Chef”, “Candy Maker”, and some qualit
Gold City visitors experienced the high energy grooves of the master percussionist ‘Indian Dhol’ and his band who delivered thrilling performance around the mall on the second weekend of the Festival.
Lulu Hypermarket visitors enjoyed the various activities hosted during ‘Shop Bahrain’ across 3 different branches. Ramli Mall visitors competed at a ‘PS4 Gaming Tournament’ that was held on the second weekend of the Festival and won valuable prizes, while Lulu Hypermarket, Riffa visitors enjoyed the ‘Kids Carnival’ that included different activities such as basketball, knock the cans, darts and Tic-Tac-Tao. Also, Lulu Hypermarket, Hidd visitors enjoyed the ‘Muppet Show’ that was held during the last weekend of ‘Shop Bahrain’ alongside other entertaining activities.
MODA Mall grabbed the attention of their shoppers through the ‘Light Box’ installation that consisted of a collection of illuminated white boxes with a selection of fashion quotes from the world’s most famous designers, as well as inspirational phrases about the world of fashion.
Adults and Kids enjoyed the two funfilled activities hosted by Saar Mall throughout the duration of the Festival. The ‘Camping Experience’ introduced children to the beauty of nature and encouraged them to be adventurous and creative in a comfortable setup. While the ‘Human-Sized Ludo’ allowed mall visitors to play against their friends and families and challenged them in the human-sized popular board game.
Seef Mall hosted a number of crowd pleasing activities that were held at Seef Mall, Seef District and Seef Mall, Muharraq on selected weekends during the Festival. Seef Mall, Seef District visitors enjoyed the entertaining roaming performance of the ‘Orange Drummers’ during the first weekend of the Festival where the audience experienced the high energy grooves and funky moves of the master percussionist ‘orange king’ and his band delivered a breath-taking musical performance with their original cross genre style and dynamic musical presence.
Seef Mall, Muharraq visitors were awed by the colourful stilt walkers ‘Mr Will & Mrs Kate’ who entertained the audience as they made various balloon models for kids. During the second weekend of the Festival Seef Mall, Muharraq hosted the ‘Coloured Mirror’ a group of performers who were covered in hundreds of mirrors from head to toe and glowed as they made their way around the mall.
The Avenues attracted a large number of audience by hosting two musical activities that were held during ‘Shop Bahrain’. The Musical Street Performance was held during the second weekend where aspiring buskers spontaneously amused the mall visitors by playing different genres of music. In addition, mall visitors also enjoyed the musical instrument display at the Musical Exhibition that was held throughout the duration of the Festival.
The Bahrain Mall provided shoppers with the opportunity to win prizes when shopping at any of the outlets in the mall during ‘Shop Bahrain’. Shoppers had the chance to pick a card and win from the ‘Gift Box’ when presenting their receipts worth BD20 and above.
Yateem Centre visitors enjoyed a family friendly, human-sized Snakes & Ladders board game throughout the duration of the Festival in which participants had the opportunity to compete against their opponent by climbing up the ladders.
